You arrive in The Outskirts of Ocean City when the bus runs out of gas and your are forced to get out and speak with the bus driver.

Quests

The driver asks you to find more gas to complete the trip. He gives you an empty gas can.

Find gas in at least 3 of these locations, then return to the driver:

• Filling Station Garage - in the car. Requires a fuse
• Filling Station Garage - in the generator. Requires 3 Mysticality
• Outside the Filling Station in the left pump. Requires gas pump hose
• Farmer Chekhov's House (out back) - in the tractor past the scarecrow
• Inside the Barn - past Simone's "monster"
• Inside the Barn - in the cabinet. Requires 3 Muscle
• Inside a Boxcar - to the left
• Hobo Camp in the Outskirts in the 1911 Ford Milkcrate-for-Wheels
• Hobo Camp in the Outskirts in the fridge

• With gas pump hose, get gas from the left pump outside the station.
• With fishing rod, get nothing from the middle pump outside the station.
• Talk to a hitchhiker to the right of the house.
• Later, read her memorial where she died exactly 20 years ago.
  • So today's date is October 13, 1928.
• Help a stuck turtle to the house's left.
• Later, pick him up near the bus. He's your familiar now.

Notes

Filling the gas can to 300% gives the Fuel Reserves achievement.

When starting a second character, you have the option of skipping the prologue. If you do so you will gain:

• up to 48 , the highest amount you obtained in previous prologue playthroughs (PPPs).
  • Oddly, this increases by 1 every time you keep the 1 meat from the diner and skip the prologue again, giving us an extremely tedious infinite meat exploit.
• up to 55 , the highest amount you obtained in PPPs.
