The Nightingale Diner is the first indoor location you find. You must enter the diner in order to remove the magazine which is stuck to your face.
Quests
- Fumble your way to the bathroom to remove the magazine stuck to your face and choose your player character's head.
- Talk to Ethel to choose your name.
- Ask "Does the bus to Ocean City pick up here?" to choose your motivation for heading to Ocean City. Get a perk which provides a small bonus and/or unlocks conversation options throughout the game.
- Go outside to catch the bus to The Outskirts of Ocean City.

Interactions
- Inspect the jukebox and find 1
in the coin return. - Buy diner coffee from Ethel for 1 .
- Or use your 1 to change the song on the jukebox.
- Read the welcome sign, which says "Meat only. No credit."
- Talk to the guy having a coffee.
- Check out the graffiti on the empty tabletop.
- Talk to the flappers, a couple of young women.
- Listen in on the older folks' conversation.

Notes
- The music playing within the diner is the theme music from one of the six main areas that you will travel to within the game. The specific theme you hear is randomly selected each playthrough.
