Come to the Black House after defeating your nemesis and obtaining the key to the Black House.
Quests
- Unlock the gate. You need the proper key; the cursed key is no use here.
- Get President-slapped in the courtyard, then talk to Uncle Murray.
- Ask "How do we stop her?" and any other dialog options you want to read.
You need to destroy three umbratanium (shadow metal) pillars that are channeling power to the President's machine.
- Find them at P.D.Q. Central Offices, Vista Hill, and Telephony Facility.
Main article: Shadow pillar
With the pillars destroyed, it's finally time to confront Margaret.
- Enter the Black House. The president gives an annoyed speech from the console of her big evil portal, your uncle stands ready with a weird shadow bomb, and you're free to poke around.
- Tell Murray when you're ready to move on to the Epilogue.
Interactions
Gate
Impassable without the key to the Black House. Even the cursed key doesn't work here.
Courtyard
You don't know what any of these machines do, and you probably don't want to.
Laboratory
- A workbench, lab bench and arcane oven.
- A bookshelf. If you searched the President's surname in the S.I.T. (Library) and researched Sep 8, 1870, in The Watchful Eye Office, you notice The Complete Works of Schmedlund Plencer on a shelf. Take it to unlock an ending.
- When you talk to Uncle Murray, he asks you the player (to your character's confusion) if you are ready, giving you a chance to finish any remaining quests.
- When you're ready, he throws his bomb and disappears. You, your companion if any, and the President are dragged into the portal and the Epilogue.
