History

Not much is known about her past before October 20, 1902. Her favourite old dog, Daisy, had just passed away of old age complications exactly during her birthday. At the same day, she was mocked by her classmate for saying she will become a god, and she swore she will instead become a president (and being mocked again much to her chagrin) and instill all the law about being nice to dogs.

Years ahead, she was elected in the campaign, and became the president of Government Valley, with her lackeys and leaders by her side.

As time progress, her mentality shifts away from her original intention of making laws to treat the dogs better, to becoming a total megalomaniac.

Encounters

The majority of her encounters occur during the dreams between Chapters. In Chapter 6, the player interacts with her at The Black House.

Notes

  • Margaret's surname, Dooley, is usually obscured by shadow-text and unreadable. You can see it during Barker's second vignette.
  • Does not attack; on the 3rd combat round she is consumed by Shadow.
  • You can look up Dooley in the S.I.T. (Library): "Augustus [smudged], professor of Philosology from 1858-1870. Fired Sept. 8, 1870 for Ridiculousness and Troublemaking." Augustus Dooley is Margaret's grandfather. Search Sept. 8, 1870 in The Watchful Eye Office archives for more info. When you meet Murray in The Black House near the end of the game, you can share Margaret's last name with him, although Murray cannot hear it.
  • While almost all endings result in the president either dying or being consumed by the shadow, there are two good endings for her, one requiring the strange memorial card and one requiring Barker's companion vignette and ending.
