Fort Cowardice is a location in West of Loathing, east of the Cavern Canyon. It is revealed when you accept the quest from the cook at The Jewel Saloon.

The Watchtower

• A watchtower is accessible as you enter the fort. With disposable binoculars, you can here discover a randomly chosen location from the list:
  • Butterfield Ranch
  • Kole Ridge Mine
  • Old Mission
  • Snake Spring
  • The Big Apple

Inside the Fort

• The watchtower on the left can unlock Kole Ridge Mine if you have disposable binoculars.
• At the far right you can find a demi-culverin cannonball.

Administration/ Mess Hall

• Military-grade whiskey and hard tack on the first table.
• The shaker of saltpeter is in the Spice Rack (next to stove)
• A lead pie is in the pie safe in the room at the back.

First Tent

• Note: If you have Gary, he will not let you enter here.
• Various military supplies can be found in the footlocker on the left and back.

• Various military supplies can be found in the locked footlocker on the right and back (requires Lockpickin' Expertise + needle).

Math Tent

• Marching orders can be found on the desk, as well as anatomical diagrams (which give 50 XP if you have the Anatomical Learnin' perk).
• On the shelves you can find some army field trauma kits, and military-grade whiskey.
• Inside the safe (requires Safecrackin' 1) you can find 2 bottles of laudanum and 2 smelling salts

Toilet Tent

• Your character will refuse to enter if you know Goblintongue.
• Otherwise, down the ladder you can find a hidden El Vibrato cache (requires El Vibrato rod to see and El Vibrato keystone to open)

• The First Tent holds a group of goblins that you can fight, if you want to enter the tent.
  • A fungicide bomb can make short work of them, avoiding the actual combat.
• Inside the Administration Building, if you go into the back office (requires Lockpickin' Expertise + needle) you will encounter General Gob, a goblin shooting at a pie safe. You can attack him, or talk to him (requires Goblintongue) to convince them to stop shooting it. After General Gob is gone or dead you can get the lead pie.
  • With Hornswogglin' 2, talking to General Gob will net you General Gob's pistol.
  • With Intimidatin' 2, talking to General Gob will net you General Gob's hat.
  • With Outfoxin' 2, talking to General Gob will net you General Gob's pistol and General Gob's hat.

• The 3rd tent (the one marked Toilet Tent) has a ladder down to the Goblin Caves. Inside is a triangle, which if you ring it will summon goblins you can fight.
  • The number of goblins involved is limited based on how many fights you have done. The first time you fight just 1; with less than 10 fights, you fight 1 or 2; with less than 20, you fight 2 or 3; and with 20 or more you fight 3.
    • In Hard Mode you start as if you've already fought 10, and may only do 5 fights per day.
