• Outside, there are some Hobo glyphs requiring 12 Hobo Literacy to read. The code reads THESE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT and gives 20 .

Inside

In addition to the kids' quests below, there is:

• A big leather tome with a list of infinite vampires you can fight.
• A shadow pouch.
• A bookshelf with Mad Lib book names. If a Cheese Wizard, find Mascarpone's Monster or The Modern Provolone.
• Cat: Boris will not let you approach because you are an outsider. With a Monster Club sash with at least three badges equipped, you can befriend him to get Boris's Boon.

Quests

You can agree to join the kid's monster hunting club. There are various people you can chat with. Left to right:

• Bookcase kid is looking for the honey ape. Agree to help to get a Honey Ape handprint.
  • Wander until you find tracks. Observe the Honey Ape handprint. Correctly answer the number of thumbs (1) and fingers (4) (none of other combinations do anything). You can then fight The Honey Ape + 2 Swarms of swamp bees or pass a series of checks requiring 6 Moxie, 6 Mysticality, 6 Muscle to find Honey Ape fingernail.
  • Return with the Honey Ape fingernail to get/upgrade a Monster Club sash and 35 .
• Eating kid is looking for a mossman. Agree to help to unlock Mossrock Grotto.
  • Return with the Mossman's mustache to get/upgrade a Monster Club sash and 35 .
• Test-tube kid is looking for a smell-o-the-wisp. Agree to help to get a nose trumpet.
  • Wander until you the wisp. With 7 Stench Armor you can get stinky ester or follow behind to fight Smell-o-the-Wisp, Gatorman mush-muncher, Gatorman rot-tooth and Gatorman scream-mouth to get stinky ester, or surrender.
  • Return with the stinky ester to get/upgrade a Monster Club sash and 35 .
  • You can also talk to her for access to a Lab bench any time.
• Radio kid is looking for a Barbara Yargara. Agree to help to unlock Barbara Yargara's Hut.
  • Return with the Barbara Yargara feather to get/upgrade a Monster Club sash and 35 .
  • You can also ask him about the radio and his hat.
• Terrarium kid is looking for the Flyman and/or Manfly (one of his chest hairs specifically). Agree to help to unlock The Old Phlemberg Place.
  • Return with the Flyman's chest hair to get/upgrade a Monster Club sash and 35 .
• Contraption kid is looking for the chupanaranja. Agree to help.
  • A nearby workbench can make a Chupanaranja trap. The trap starts out with 30% chance of succeeding. Each of the following further increase the chance of success:
    • Tighten the spring (6 Muscle): +10%
    • Adjust the torque (6 Mysticality): +10%
    • Tweak the trigger sensitivity (7 Moxie): +10%
    • Add a battery (battery): +10%
    • Add a fuse (fuse): +10%
  • Wander until you find a chupanaranja nostril to get/upgrade a Monster Club sash and 35 .

Mad Libs

Reading the bookshelf gives a different random book each time. For example: Leona Simmons and the Cavern of Ice, or The Maze of Gold, part Ninety-three.
