Crystal asks you to find crystals for her shop at Gumbuckle Mine.
Quests
At the mine, you find the elevator isn't working.
- Pry open the office door with a crowbar.
- Go inside and step through the time door to 1906.
- Grab Gumbuckle mine cabinet key from the jacket on the rack.
- Step into the present and open the cabinet for a can of elevator grease.
- Back in time again, go outside grease up the elevator.
- Ride down and examine the support beam, noticing it's all termitey.
Ride up and return to the present. You could use the elevator, but you'll find the mine is collapsed. Instead, travel to Valley Hardware.
- Step through that time door and into the front room.
- Check out the shelf of dangerous pesticides. Buy some Term-o-Blast termite spray for 22
.
Back room, time door, travel to Gumbuckle Mine, time door to the past again.
- Down in the shaft, spray the support beam, making the termites very dead.
- Take the elevator up. Time door to the present. Take the elevator down.
- Grab a 22-year-old stick of dynamite from the hole in the cabinet.
You could try to blow up the giant geode, but the dynamite won't do the trick as is.
- Go up the elevator and back to the past once more.
- Down in the main shaft, jam the dynamite into the geode, but don't light it just yet.
- Up elevator. Forward time. Down elevator.
- With a match, light the now-44-year-old stick of dynamite in the geode, which is still far from the stupidest thing you'll do in your adventuring career.
The geode splits open to reveal a huge variety of crystals.
Travel to Crystal's and tell her about the crystals.
You gain 20 
, and Crystal gives you a twinkling crystal statuette and can now sell you things.

- Find some flip file flip flops in the file cabinet.
- Find an Employee-of-the-Month award.

Main Shaft
Accessible after you grease the elevator in the past. Blocked until you also spray the termites in the past.
- Find a mining helmet.
- Find unlimited vintage sticks of dynamite, unless you already have one or have blown up the geode.
Side Shaft
Accessible with a pick-axe.
- Psychogeologist: gather 3 frosty flakes.
- A knapsack with antique blue jeans and miner's journal. Interact with it again to pick up the miner's knapsack.
- A cart full of mine tailings: get ~162 .
- A cart full of rubble: get a random ring.
- A shadow rift containing the shadow boots.
