Talk to the captain. They explain that they are from 990 years in the future, when their world has been destroyed. They need you to trigger certain ripples in time that will cause a different planet to be destroyed instead. Don't worry; those guys are jerks and nobody likes them. Accept to get the Yecchian chronocrystal, unlocking a new ending, and return to your body.
