You can change your character's expression.

With Voyage of Self-Discovery: "Oh hey, there you are!" Gain 5 xp.

At Shadow Taint Level 3, your character's expression is permanently stuck in emotionless state, with the speech saying "Perfect, never change." following with a garbled shadow talk.
