• See Wander events. It occurs on your 9th wandering encounter. After that it occurs randomly while wandering, but it's relatively rare. --Fig bucket (talk) 21:09, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
  • And to give a sense of how rare: when wandering, a list of possible encounters will be constructed, excluding one-time encounters you already had, and the encounter you get is then selected. That list has duplicates too, as some items or class properties imply greater frequency for certain encounters. The actual encounter you get is then chosen randomly from that list.
