There are several kinds of consumable items in West of Loathing. The basic staples, food, booze, and potions are used to give you (usually) positive effects, but you are limited in the number of items of each type that you can consume in one game day: food requires stomach capacity, booze requires liver capacity, and potions require spleen capacity. See character stats for information on these limits and ways to increase them.

The remaining consumable, combat items, is not limited, but can only be used during combat.
