Horace is the hostler who runs the Boring Springs Horsery. He sells horses for 1000 
.
He is not a very good salesman or horse-minder. The horses fly out the door. That is, they run away, not that he manages to sell any of them.

- Find his three missing horses and lure them back to the Horsery with a bag of homing oats
